Description
Stunning Mexican 925 sterling silver wine taster, taste vin, quaich , porringer made in Mexico City by master silversmith Jose Marmolejo. Much of his work involved special commissions for Tane, the Mexican luxury goods company. The Tiffany’s of Mexico. Mid 20th century in date, probably 1950s or 1960s, the piece is decorated with a circular design on the handle and around the base. It has a wavy edge to the top of the bowl. Stamped on the bottom with what looks like an eagle, Hecho En Mexico, Sterling 0.925, Jose Marmolejos and Tane.
