Description
A wonderful pair of Georgian silver salts both hallmarked for London 1806 by maker John Emes. Open urn shaped pedestal salts with flower petal design to the rim and a stepped base. Engraved with a monogram around the body. Gilded interior.

Queens Antiques & Collectables has clarified that the Pair of George III Silver Salts 1806 John Emes (LA508084) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1806
condition
Good antique condition. Hallmarks are clear on both, scratch marks to base of one, gilding is rubbed to the interior, some scratches to interior of bowls, they are different weights 166g and 152g, in one of the bowls you can see a circular mark from the base, not worn through. Usual signs wear commensurate of age and use.
