Description
Rare Silver Vesta. Chester 1897. I’m not quite sure if this is a vesta or a cheroot holder case? Either way it’s an unusual piece. Measures 3¼ inches (8cm) top to toe, excluding the loop. Is clearly hallmarked for Chester 1897 with the silversmith mark Gs&Fs (Cornelius Desormeaux Sanders & James Francis Hollings). No holes or restoration, there area couple pin prick dings, see images. There is wear to the hinge, again commensurate with age. All my photos are taken using natural light only.
