A rare and unusual elegant slender Regency period steel gentleman’s shaving stand vanity mirror with brass telescopic rise and fall height adjustment setting to mirror; quite possibly a piece of campaign furniture. Raised on a cabriole leg tripod base with pad feet having fretwork decoration with central boss supporting a central column topped with a fixed tole tray with height and angle adjustable original mercury backed plate oval mirror - slightly foxed but does not affect form or function. Decorated leather back in original deep red patinated lacquer finish.
It would work equally well as a ladies vanity/ dressing table.
