Description
A splendid and somewhat flamboyant porcelain cream jug produced at the factory of Samuel Alcock in Stoke on Trent around 1830. Of upright, circular shape and with a large scrolling handle. Decorated with bands of white and gilt leaves set in a dark blue ground. The base bears the hand-written pattern number, 2405, in red.
