Description
Set of 6 Victorian sterling silver teaspoons, with fiddle pattern stems and initial engraved terminals "J B". Hallmarks are clear and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, three castles mark and crowned leopard head mark for Newcastle, Newcastle date letter E for 1843, makers mark R D for Richard Duncan of Carlisle, and the William IV duty mark, which was still being used by the Newcastle assay office until 1844.
