Victorian 1856 Sterling Silver Tartan Engraved Vinaigrette Hallmarked Birmingham

Small Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette, with a rectangle shape, suspension jump ring, a hinged lid, an engraved tartan decorated lid and base, and a vacant scrolled cartouche to the lid. Inside is gilded, with its acanthus pierced hinged grill. Hallmarks are clear and consist of the lion passant mark for sterling silver, anchor mark for Birmingham, Birmingham date letter H for 1856, makers mark A T for Alfred Taylor, and the Victoria duty mark.
