Description
This is a handsome antique chest of drawers which dates to the Victorian era. Made of solid mahogany and mixed woods it is a good piece which is well made, solid and heavy. The chest is fairly large and will provide a good amount of storage in any home. The front is fitted with five drawers which are paper lined and finished with attractive turned handles and cock beading. The chest is set on turned feet and the wood has a French polished finish which has a nice sheen. The chest has been sympathetically restored in our workshop and has a lot of character and a good sense of history. Condition The chest is generally in solid structural condition with many small cosmetic marks of age and use and various beading repairs here and there. The drawers run fairly well for their age. The top of the chest has many marks and scratches below the polished finish Please take a look at all of the photos to get an idea of its general condition. Measurements height- 105cms width- 108cms at the top depth- 51.5cms not including the handles The measurements are taken at the widest points.
