A charming and quirky, table lamp recently purchased by us and given to the previous owners parents by a German Prisoner of War during WW2.
It depicts a Bavarian girl and boy in national dress. The boy kneeling and offering a bunch of flowers to the girl.
It was a family story that the lamp was made out of tea chests and the underside of the base is in fact pig skin!…apparently the PoW was allowed to work on their farm towards the end of the war.
Obviously the old fittings have been replaced and has new wiring. Now Pat tested to current regulations.
Additional photographs and information available on request.
FaceTime facility available.
Please be aware that the item is old and antique, so study any photographs to satisfy yourself as to its condition as much as possible.
While we take all efforts to provide something that is fit for the use intended there many be various condition issues that are commensurate with age and considered part of its history, and are very subjective.
However, you have legal rights and Consumer Contract Regulations (2014) still apply for “Distance Selling “ if this is not a “face-to-face” purchase.
