Augustus Pugin - Designer

Augustus Welby Pugin was a leading architect and designer who worked between 1825-1852. Although he is most noted for his work on the Houses of Parliament in London, during his short career Pugin worked on many buildings and churches. Seeing design as holistic Pugin also designed many internal features including furniture, tableware and lighting. Working very much in the Gothic Revival style his pieces could range from highly ornate to paired down and simple. Today Pugin’s works are widely collected and admired for their thoughtful design. Two of his children also went on to become architects. At LoveAntiques we have a good selection of antique pieces designed by Pugin and in his style.
