Art Deco Silver Butterfly Wing Scene Pill Box

This is a rare and special find, beautiful and in the best of condition, this fabulous solid silver, Art Deco Butterfly wing compact pill, patch or snuff box is adorable and depicts a rural scene so evocative of the period. The oval box is in excellent condition, well made it is fully gilded to the interior and both top and bottom are well hallmarked for Birmingham 1923. Very nice, this type of item, is often attributed to Thomas Mott or Shipton, but this example is hallmarked for O.Bs of Birmingham. Given the condition, I doubt this little beauty has seen the light of day for many years.
