This is an Edwardian barograph retailed by R. Atkinson of Lancaster in a polished mid-Oak hardwood case, with a bevelled glass lift off lid and a chart drawer to the base. It also has an impressive cut glass ink bottle with stopper held in a brass holder fitted to the base. The style of the barograph movement suggests that the instrument would likely to have been made by Negretti & Zambra for sale to the retailer.
All in good working condtition. A quantity of recording charts included together with a fresh bottle of ink and a reprinted pamphlet describing operating instructions and how to interpret chart recordings.
