Mid-size 1940s Cyma Precision Wrist Watch

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Cyma name. The watch measures 29mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. Although originally designed as a man’s watch, it is small by today’s standards and would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is silver plated, with a stainless steel screw-on case back. There is general surface marking although fairly light. The case back has some light scratches. The lens is in good condition. The dial is signed Cyma Precision, Non-Magnetic. It also has the name of the original retailer of the watch, American Swiss Watch Co Ltd, a company based in Cape Town. The dial is in its original finish, which has darkened with age, and original hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. A new leather strap has been fitted. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
