This is an early Edwardian barograph in a particularly stylish polished oak case, signed by well know marine ships chandlers, Chadburns Ltd., 47, Castle Street, Liverpool, circa 1910. The lift-off lid with thick bevelled glass and ornate carved framework was often used by Short & Mason for their high grade barographs. A two-compartment chart drawer is fitted to the base with raised feet below. The lacquered barometer movement and clock are all in good working condition.
A quantity of various weekly charts are included along with a fresh bottle of recording ink and a reprinted pamphlet of operating instructions and guidance on interpreting barograph chart recordings.
