Description
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, grade 610, which is working nicely. The movement has a Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision, handsomely patterned plates and is fully signed, along with the serial number 25,991,838 which dates it back to 1926. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company. Dennisons supplied most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, a small bruise to the side and general light surface marks but nothing serious at all.
The front cover has a small acrylic lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.
The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition.
The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed very closely, there are a couple of short faint hairlines beneath the sub seconds dial but they are difficult to see with the naked eye. Blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
