Description
A good Derby allegorical figure of Autumn from the Four Chelsea Seasons set. A gentleman dressed in a black brimmed hat, floral breeches, shirt and pink jacket, squeezes juice from a bunch of grapes into a wine cup. He is stood on a scrolled base against a small bocage with vine leaves and large bunches of grapes. Patch marks to the base, c.1760-1770.

In excellent condition: a couple of very small, shallow chips to the brim of the hat have been sensitively colour touched in and there are a few small chips to the leaf tips in the bocage. No other damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear.
