This is a beautiful and fully restored distant reading thermometer by Negretti & Zambra of London. Their 'triangle' logo style suggests this was manufactured around 1950. The instrument has been repaired and accurately re-calibrated and the case stripped and re-polished. A test certificate is available. Perfect for use as a remote reading thermometer, the sensor positioned in a location, possibly through a solid wall (and up to 1.5metres away) where big variations in temperature can occur, for example, greenhouse, conservatory or orangery. The dial is 155mm diameter and overall 220mm diameter of the polished oak case. This superb instrument would grace any location.
