Description
Early Spode china coffee cup and saucer in an Imari pattern. Deep cobalt blue with reds and gilt. As commonly found on early Spode pieces, the cup and saucer are unmarked however the colour palate and design matches a known Spode Imari pattern (as also seen in the V&A museum collection).
Saucer is 13cm in diameter and 3cm in height. Cup is 6.5cm diameter and 6cm height.

Antique Ethos has clarified that the Spode Imari Coffee Cup & Saucer c.1820 (LA70143) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1820
condition
This cup and saucer are in very good original condition (stunning when considering its age!). The cup has no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some minor gilt wear to its rim and handle. The saucer has no chips or cracks. Very small amount of crazing on under-side (not visible in photos) consistent with porcelain of this age. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
