Vintage Scrub Top Pine Utility Table

Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and heavy; the legs tighten up nicely. Cosmetically there's plenty of little dings and scuffs etc; some filled grooves (from new I think) and some wear to the corners and edges. We've gone easy on this: it's had a light sanding just to get the old finish off, which was grubby and patchy; we've not put any finish on it at all, so it's quite pale (hence the over exposed pics..) and has a nice natural feel. It can be left like this but obviously it will soak up stains. Options are wax (great looking but no protection); varnish (bit modern looking but waterproof); finishing oil (kind of a compromise: looks pretty good and is water resistant up to a point). Acrylic sealer is a possibilty if you want to keep the colour pale. Not sure how effective it is but ok I think. Anyway, I can do that or you can, enough words now.
