Description
The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Longines which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover signed Longines with various medals awarded at the Paris 1889 exhibition.
The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is .800 silver and there are continental hallmarks inside the three covers. The case back has the Longines stamp which includes the initials E F Co, which relates to the founder of Longines, Ernest Francillon
Overall, the case is in good condition, just light wear to the engine turned detail and the odd minor “ding”. The front cover has a central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside there is an acrylic lens which has some minor marking.
The dial has a very faint hairline crack between 3 & the centre although only noticeable through a jewellers loupe but otherwise it is in nice condition. Lever-set hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red 'Buy Now' button on each listing page.
