Founded in 1803 by William Holland and producing furniture until 1943, the London-based firm of Holland & Sons would become one of the largest and most respected Cabinet Makers in the UK during the second half of the 19th Century. Producing high quality fashionable furniture, they quickly found favour among the elite including commissions for lots of public buildings and a Royal Commission to Queen Victoria. Their designs were often elegant yet understated and today are eagerly sought by collectors and decorators for their quality and timeless appeal.
