Royal Brierley is the name used by the noted English glass makers Stevens & Williams Ltd and now by Dartington Crystal Ltd. Although Royal Brierley can claim to have been in existence for several hundred years, their range and popularity rose during the mid 19th Century onwards. Alongside cut and engraved clear crystal ware, the firm began producing fine coloured glass from about 1880 onwards. Realising that the glass market was changing, the firm employed New Zealand Architect Keith Murray in 1932 who would modernise their designs and bring the Royal Brierley name back to the fore. Today the brand remains highly collected and its antique cut crystal glasses remain a firm favourite for practical use. At LoveAntiques we have a good range of antique and vintage Royal Brierley glass at competitive prices.
