The flame glass shade is original and not damaged.
Art Deco Torchiere table lamps were a popular lighting style in the 1920s and 1930s. The term "torchiere" comes from the French word for torch, and refers to the upward-facing shade that directs light towards the ceiling, creating a soft, ambient glow.
Art Deco Torchiere table lamps typically feature a sleek, geometric design, often with a metal base and a frosted glass shade. The base may be adorned with decorative elements such as stepped or fluted designs, and the shade may be embellished with etched or painted patterns.
These lamps were often used in living rooms, bedrooms, and other areas where indirect lighting was desired.
