Large 5 1/2" Antique William Goebel Marie Antoinette of France Pin Cushion Half Doll

Offered for your consideration is this highest quality large size pin cushion half doll manufactured by the prestigious German factory of William Goebel and marked to the underside of the base with the impressed Goebel factory mark. This half doll is also illustrated on Page 20 of the Lorrin's Half Doll Book Vol. 6. This superb half doll measures an impressive 5 1/2 inches in height and is approx. 4 1/2 inches in width. This doll is modelled in the form of Marie Antoinette of France and is beautifully detailed from the gentle curves of the ringlets in the comb marked grey wig, the large coloured ostrich plumes in the wig, the gently draping lacey sleeves, the long slender delicate fingers curled around her fan to the expertly painted face.
