Description
Sometimes you want something grand in appearance,, but you might be tight on space, or you want a piece that has that look without taking over.
This marble topped, serpentine shaped mahogany console has it all in one neat package, well here it is in perfect proportions, a mahogany, and marble topped console.
What makes this mahogany console table so delightful, is the reverse scroll central leg, agapanthus carving, all sitting on a wishbone shaped lower frame and finishing with a beautifully shaped bun foot.
The ogee edge detail and break front shape creates a charming detail and is a time consuming detail not always seen, as this is all created by hand. With the rounded & stepped top supporting mahogany frame adds something very special to what is a wonderful piece.
Nicely created from quality materials and a rich mahogany adding warmth.

Therefore, you will see signs of ageing, natural wear, fading & marks which create their unique look. The mahogany frame is sound, the marble stone is the original, it does have some small ancient losses and the top left hand corner has a break that was previously repaired. The joint is sound by visible at different angles. Overall the condition is good and the condition is commensurate with its age. Unless specified ornaments or props shown are not included.
